Selection

Editorial policy

Titles for the digital library are selected by an editorial board of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. This board oversees the publishing programme of the Academy in the history of science and scholarship. Works are selected for their relevance for the study of the development of science and research in the Netherlands. They may date from any period and may be related to any discipline, from mathematics to theology. The selection criteria and the programme for digitization are periodically reviewed. The editors welcome suggestions for representative titles by scholars and scientists from the Netherlands that could be included. Please send your suggestions to history.of.science@bureau.knaw.nl.

The editors also act as the editorial board for the book series ‘History of Science and Scholarship in the Netherlands’. This series publishes research monographs and new studies in the same field. For more information on titles and availability, see the Edita website: History of Science and Scholarship in the Netherlands.
